Ernie

Ernie did great at class tonight! We worked on name recognition, sit, come, stand and some exercises just for fun too! Ernie aims to please and listens really well, even in really distracting environments with lots of people talking and dogs barking. He's great in the car and is a really mellow, go-with-the-flow dog. He is a big lap dog, who would love nothing more than a loving home. His handler (and SPCA staff member Keith) was very impressed by how good and easy Ernie was to work with tonight. He'll be learning a lot in classes and is sure to graduate with honors!

Oh what do you say about a perfect dog like Ernie? He's stellar at every command he's taught and he and his handler Keith have really bonded. He's attentive, relaxed, gentle, obedient and just all around a great, great dog.

Ernie is now at class with a new handler, Lauren, who happens to be his foster mom! She saved Ernie and is keeping him at her home until he's adopted! He's housetrained, great with everyone in the house and is a pleasure to have around. They love him and she totally loved bringing him to obedience class this week! He's listening well to her and got all the commands this week without issue. Smart, smart boy!!

Ernie graduated class last night and will continue to be trained in his foster home until you come to adopt him! He's great with most of his commands, but "stay" is hard because he really wants to be close to you all the time!
